The 2024 Beike Beijing Marathon just opened its registration on October 2nd, for the race to be held on November 3rd.
This may be shocking to international runners because there’s only one month from registration to race day.
And that’s not all. Beijing Marathon also employs a lottery system to select its 30,000 participants. As a result, you won’t know if you’re in until mid October. That leaves you about two weeks to arrange your trip, if you won a spot.
If you do get in, however, it’s a beautiful race with a flat course, plenty of aid stations and supplies, a nice medal and shirts, and a big crowd to cheer you on.
Registration period closes at 11am, Oct. 5, local time.

- Elite Athletes: 12
- National Championship Athletes: 200
- General Public: 30,000
Course:
Starts from the east side of Tiananmen Square, and finishes at the Beijing Olympic Park Landscape Avenue.
